I used IE6 for years and on getting a redirector bug I decided to try and see if IE8 might somehow be better (as in not having the chronic security holes all MicroShoddy stuff has historically had).

The redirector bug is gone (probably only cuz of the reinstall)

But IE8 on XP is the crappiest browser Ive seen in 15 years.

Freeze ups of all IE windows (killing them one by one doesnt unfreeze any)
Bad starts (first one opens and mangles its page)
Slow weirdness
Connecting… to nothing (even though I have deafult set to blank page)
multiple iexplorer.exes that dont go away after you [X] close them (have to kill them in the task manager..)
All this immediately after installing it

Seriously did the microsuck weenies do it on purpose to ‘disuade’ people from using their old XP copies — IE8 as a XP-killer ?????

Personally I’d likle to crush the miscreants heads with a ball-peen hammer for all the pain (much more unsavory punishments for ALL the pain they have afflicted us with over the years).

One last thought — Bill Gates you purveyor of shoddy software — Andrew Carnegie was a great man and always made the best for his customers. In the end he WAS far richer that you ever were and did more good with his money than you ever will.

I condemn thee to a ‘blue screen of death’ on some life-support equiptment someday (hopefully soon) — poetic justice will be it being a microsoft byproduct.
